Nexium Esomeprazole 40mg is sometimes used as a medicine to treat frequent heart arrhythmia or to prevent sudden cardiac death in patients who are not taking diuretics or had a recent stroke.
However, this medication should not be used in combination with other medications for treating acute pain or relieving fever caused by an allergic reaction.

ESOMEPIPrazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which shuttles between the body’s acid and the nerve cells that provide the gastrointestinal juices esomeprazole and gastric acid. Esomeprazole is used to treat some conditions related to acidity and reflux (such as acid reflux, acid reflux related to menstrual cramps). Esomeprazole treats conditions that occur while excess acid is moving through the body to the stomach. Esomeprazole is also used to prevent acid from building up in the stomach. It also reduces the amount of acid that is in the stomach.
Nexium 24HR Tablets (esomeprazole) are medicine used to treat persistent acid-related stomach aches and pain. Esomeprazole is used to treat conditions that include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (Herpes infections). Esomeprazole works by blocking the enzyme responsible for acid production in the stomach. Nexium 24HR Tablets (esomeprazole) are also used to treat certain types of acid-related back pain (peptic ulcers, ZOP), which are caused by the back of the mouth. Nexium 24HR Tablets (esomeprazole) are used to treat or prevent certain aches and pains including heartburn, acid reflux, acid reflux related to (acid reflux disease), bloating, and gas. Nexium 24HR Tablets (esomeprazole) are used to treat or prevent aches and pains associated with heartburn, indigestion, (esophagitis), and stomachache. The Nexium Control® 24HR Heartburn Relief™ Tablets is a combination of esomeprazole 20 mg and proton pump inhibitor (PPI) (omeprazole) and belongs to a class of medications called anti-inflammatory drugs. It is used to treat frequent heartburn (occurring in approximately 1 in 10 people). Heartburn occurs when acid in the stomach passes through the muscle and stomach fluid through your esophagus and backward down the steps of your stomach (stomach). When you are heartburn-related, the stomach acid then travels down your esophagus, through the muscle of your stomach, or back down the first three descending steps of your esophagus (esophagus). When stomach acid passes through your esophagus, it is called gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD). Heartburn then occurs once that time, but symptoms are not new.
